Sarah Palin Lets Loose On The GOP Establishment
Man, this article in Breitbart is one of the most inspirational articles I’ve read in a long time. After the latest omnibus bill that the Democrats, I mean Republicans passed, most conservatives are totally disgusted with the establishment Republicans.
For the most part, Republicans don’t have a lot of power right now. Obama owns the White House, and he’s going to veto anything Republicans pass. There is one place where they can get some things done, and that’s in a spending bill. What’s the advantage of a spending bill?
America has to spend money, Congress has to write a bill, saying how they’re going to spend it, and the president has to approve it. Usually, Democrats and Republicans use spending bills as opportunities to fund their pork projects which help them get reelected. Sometimes, either party can use must-pass bills to insert items that might not normally pass, or that would get vetoed by themselves. I’m going to let Sarah Palin take it from here:
“With this omnibus bill, they (Republicans) broke every promise they made to us. Every single one. They’ve reached a level of brazen duplicity previously known only to Democrats.
Obamacare? It’s fully funded.
Planned Parenthood, which was caught red-handed haggling over the sale of dead babies? It’s funded too.
Obama’s illegal executive amnesty? Funded.
Illegal alien sanctuary cities? Funded.
Visas for un-vetted Muslim migrants (“refugees”) to resettle in America? Funded.
Obama’s green energy crony capitalism? Funded.
Tax credits for illegal aliens? Funded.
H-2B visas to replace American workers with cheap unskilled foreign workers? Yep, that’s in there too.
What about funds for the fence that we so desperately need on our southern border? Nope, sorry, they couldn’t find any money for that.
Basically, everything commonsense conservatives despise – and Republicans promised to put an end to if elected – was funded by this omnibus.
They weren’t worried about the promises they made to us. This omnibus was written by lobbyists for lobbyists and passed by corrupted politicians fulfilling promises to these cronies with deep pockets. They campaigned one way, then governed another way.
”
Conservatives worked hard to get those Republicans elected. as Governor Palin says:
“Together, we grassroots conservatives gave the GOP historic electoral victories because they promised us they would stop Obama’s ‘fundamental transformation of America.'”
Instead, the GOP establishment punished conservative representatives, while setting themselves up to rule like dictators. Who does that remind you of? King Obama comes to mind.
What happened with this bill was much worse then if Democrats were in charge of Congress, because unfortunately, the people who did this to us, we voted into office and we trusted them!
My biggest question at this point is, where is Fox News? @FoxNews Pitches their tagline all day, every day, that they are “Fair and Balanced.” Really? So why didn’t any of the top so-called conservative talkshow hosts and groups talk about the bill, at all?!
After the Shamnibus bill passed, I watched The Five, @TheFive, Bill O’Reilly, @oreillyfactor, and Sean Hannity, @SeanHannity. Not one of them had even a mention of the bill on their opening segments. Not one. the next day, again, nothing.
We always talk about the propaganda media, referring to MSNBC, CNN, ABC and public broadcasting. Unfortunately, Fox News has become propaganda media for establishment Republicans.
Remember the first debate, when Megan Kelly was the moderator? Remember how she attacked Scott Walker, asking him “Would you really let a mother die rather than have an abortion?”
It was all downhill from there, as she / Fox News, attacked Trump and the conservatives, while putting pillows under the establishment Republicans.
One final note on the so-called “conservative media.” Name one conservative talkshow host or media representative that has led an effort to get people out to the abortion mills. Just one. You can’t.
How about a politician? Can you name one politician who has led an effort to get people out to pray at abortion facilities?
Conservative media representatives have the ability to influence legislation on abortion, yet all they do is use it as a talking point. they are almost as bad as pro-abortion Democrats, since all they do is profit from abortion while doing nothing to stop it.
I don’t want to hear about donations or people speaking at fundraisers. Yes, those are important, but it shouldn’t end there. Influential people should use their influence, publicly, to help end abortion.
As far as our elected representatives are concerned?
I’ve been telling the pro-life community for years, it’s time to stop walking away after we help get Republicans voted into office. They take us for granted. This is a pattern I can track all the way back to Ronald Reagan.
Before Reagan was elected, he promised Nellie Gray, founder of the March for life in Washington DC, that if she helped him get elected, he would only put in pro-life nominations for the Supreme Court. Remember Sandra Day O’Connor?
Here we are, 34 years later, and abortion is still decriminalized, primarily, because of O’Connor, Ronald Reagan and a failed, Republican promise.
A good lawyer will always tell you one thing when negotiating, get it in writing. As a matter of fact, when Nellie Gray told me the story, she told me she did get that in writing, though I’m not sure where that document is today.
The pro-life community needs to approach representatives with that in mind. Well, typically, Republicans approach the pro-life community, because they know we help bring out the base vote.
Either way, it’s time for us to demand loyalty from representatives who want our votes. Otherwise, they will just continue taking us for granted.
Governor Palin has a good description for what just happened to the conservative voting Americans of this great country. She says:
“They did it again. But like a battered wife, we keep going back because every four years they bring us flowers, beg our forgiveness, and swear they’ll never hit us again.
The GOP establishment in Congress is our abuser. We can’t hide the black eyes any more. The whole neighborhood knows. The Democrats are gloating. Obama thanked Rep. Paul Ryan (R-WI) effusively – and why shouldn’t he? Rep. Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) couldn’t have given him more.”
I have communicated with countless pro-life Republicans, and have also interviewed many of them. When I ask them what the pro-life community can do to help end abortion, they tell me we should communicate with our representatives and let them know how we feel. So, I set up a website to help us do that.
Use Monthly Call For Life to communicate with your representatives, every first Friday. Everything you need is at the website. Who to contact, what you might say and so on. It’s all there.
I have received emails, phone calls and letters from representatives, acknowledging my communication with them. Even if all you do is send email, that’s a good thing!
The address is http://MonthlyCallForLife.com.
We can end abortion. We will end abortion. Why do I know this? Because I believe God is counting on us to do it.
