What are Republican / Conservative Priorities?
I received a fund raising letter from the Heritage Foundation. A headline stated:
“With your support, Heritage can provide the President and Congress with the intellectual firepower to accomplish these key priorities:”
I have to admit, whenever I hear people talk about conservative “priorities,” I’m not too impressed with what I hear. These weren’t the worst priorities, but there was something important missing. Here are the priorities they listed:
- Repeal Obamacare immediately. Heritage has a full detailed plan to repeal and replace Obamacare. The Establishment is already fighting to protect this, so we must act immediately.
- Confirm nominee Neil Gorsuch to the Supreme Court. The Trump team has relied on Heritage’s published recommendation of potential justices that will properly uphold the Constitution, in the mold of the late Antonin Scalia.
- Protect our borders. Heritage scholars have created conservative policies designed to combat domestic terrorism, eliminate illegal immigration, and restore a strong national defense for our country.
Okay, I admit, these are good priorities. But like I said, something is missing.
The email also said:
“However, just like the Declaration of Independence was only the beginning, Election Day was only the first step to restoring America.
Now, we must fight the Washington Establishment tooth and nail to bring back the Founding Father’s vision of America – a nation where freedom, opportunity, prosperity, and civil society flourish.”
The very first thing the Declaration of Independence tells us is that we have to the right to “life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.”
So, what was missing?
Since 1973, 60 million people have been killed by abortion in the United States of America. Ending abortion is more important then ending Obamacare. I agree we have to pursue important issues, but there is nothing more important than being alive.
Today, millions of children have grown up knowing if they have an “inconvenient” child, they can kill that child. That’s a sad state of affairs for the United States of America. I never thought America would be one of the most brutal countries of the world, yet we have the horrible distinction of being one of four nations that allow abortion after 24 weeks. The other three are China, North Korea and Canada.
I often wonder how this can be happening in the United States of America. I believe America is one of the most moral/decent countries in the world. Unfortunately, the Democrat party is anything but. Their tagline should read:
“Come to us if you want to make sure America has no values or morals. we will make sure every shred of decency is removed from the public square.”
No, I’m not trying to make friends here. Democrats do more to defend puppies than human beings. Democrats call for the extinction of mankind to protect mother Earth.

Conservatives/Republicans need to recognize the importance of the battle for America. Remember, Democrats lost those wars a long time ago. They were the Civil War and the Revolutionary wars. Since then, they are winning the battle for America through legislation. They don’t care if they change our laws legally, they only care if they change our laws.
Roe v Wade was a farce, a sham. They used legalese, a “right to privacy,” to say they had a right to kill innocent human beings in the womb. They have been using similar tactics to pass many other laws.
Democrats don’t care what it takes to win, they just care about winning, And they will lie, cheat and steal to win.
Unfortunately, Republicans continue to act as if the battle for America is simply a matter of fighting fair and being honest. In general, I don’t have a problem with that. I think it’s important we are fair and honest. At the same time though, we have to recognize Democrats fight dirty! They will steal elections whenever possible, and they will use any and every tactic to bring down an opponent.
What are our priorities? If you ask me, two of our most important priorities should be to define who we are, and expose Democrats for who they are.
And YES, we certainly need to end abortion.
The slaughter of innocent human beings in the womb has to stop. Pastors need to make this a key point in their sermons. Christians and people with values need to step up and defend the defenseless.
People have said to me that if I tell people what they “need” to do, it will turn them off. I could care less. I believe the time for namby-pamby talk is over with. 3000 people are slaughtered by their mothers every single day in America. It’s time to get real!
Heritage foundation and other “conservative” organizations. I am grateful you are thereand that you do what you do. I also implore you to take on the topic of abortion. I beg that you make this a leading topic, not a following topic.
